In the design process a design agency needs to provide a wide range of competences from psychanalogy to industrial production all applied to a wide range of design typology like home appliances, sport equipment, cosmetics accessories, architecture, food and beverage, commercial retailing, signalization, industrial products, aerospace, medical devices, biomedical equipments, finally all related to corporate and brand image. We think that our job is to provide manufacturing companies with Aesthetic intelligence to make sure their products will be useful with happiness by anticipation. According to the complexity of the call for tender or the state of the client's project or request: 

 

The designer is analysing the demande to structure a design partnership in steps corresponding to readiness levels. Quotes the  steps and make a proposal with 3 grades of collaboration in a contract specifying all details of the convention. 

Innovation meaning discoveries,

This agreement leaves opportunities to changes for novelties or extensions during the contract. 

The agreement fixes both step prices and fees.

concept

To bear a team of competences to build a coherent project it is essential to make sure they all have heard the same story. Why they are involved in the same boat.

 

The designer is analysing and construing the environmental context, (ideas, market, social, and human, technical, economics, trends, … ) to provides its vision with a visual approach sloged with few critical words in 2 steps respectively called mood board and story telling. This is the environment inside which is defined the Concept. The intension is clear and can be transmitted and shared.

The designer can already provide with a fictional name and product signature, a strategy.

defining a program

By establishing a scenario the client may confirm the link between his wishes and the user expectations to fixe the promise. 

 

The designer studies, anticipates or fictionalizes the behavior the users. Create a profile of characters and a scenario to provide the management team with editorials, plans and figures to describe the life of the product in details. How the product is supposed to be used and fulfilling its promises. The final Basic diagram should report the complete mission of the product step by step with open options according to the wishes, showing the strengths and the gaps.

designing

A design team .04 composed with a panel of individual and cultural sensitivities, with specific skills in different fields, philosophy, ergonomics, colors, materials, innocence, systems, engineering, usability, marketing or prototyping, should possess the competences in its close circle.

 

The designer shall provide the client with innovative systems and solutions very quickly. 
The distance between people inside the design team is extremely short. 
Designer should have no rules, no moral, only innocence and responsibilities to clients and User.

The designer is turning the wishes into promises, providing with 2D graphical and pedagogical schematic systems, 3D models to improve the tasks and 3D prototypes for details and components.
While the R&D engineering is improving the technologies, the designer is improving the Usability.

On the client side there are many other considerations around the industrialization of a new product. Management, marketing, financial, partners, commercial, … All those considerations needs to be part of the ship.
